CBRE acquires Singapore-based sustainability advisory firm Paia Consulting
In June, United Overseas Bank and Enterprise Singapore introduced a sustainability advising programme for SMEs, in partnership with Paia Consulting, CDP, Convene ESG, M1, PwC Singapore and TÜV SÜD.
Carrie Johnson started Paia Consulting and is its founding director. She has more than twenty years of knowledge in sustainability approach, reporting, and ecological matters. Corrado Forcellati, Paia Consulting’s supervising director from 2021, helps business in Singapore and Southeast Asia include sustainability within their business procedures.
Anshuman Magazine, CBRE advisory division chief executive officer, India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa, says the acquisition will certainly have an influence all over the APAC zone. “The better degree of recognition and interest in sustainability is rising among businesses, and increasing policies will certainly provide a motivation for them to develop sustainability approaches and to show development on their application.”
On August 1, CBRE revealed that it has acquired Paia Consulting, a Singapore-based sustainability advisory firm. The procurement is component of the New York Stock Exchange-listed worldwide real estate services company’s growth of its sustainability advising service in Asia Pacific.
In August 2023, Keppel employed Bennett Wong, previous primary specialist at Paia Consulting, to become its group sustainability leading administrator. Wong departed in July to join professional services firm RSM.
Moray Armstrong, managing supervisor of CBRE Singapore, says the intro of Paia’s features will certainly place CBRE at the leading edge of ESG advisory in Singapore and throughout Asia Pacific. “Our professionals will partner with customers on reporting, education, conformity, benchmarking, developing, and implementing ESG systems. David Fogarty, that has led CBRE’s ESG Consulting and Sustainability Providers team in Asia from 2022, will certainly guide the expanded unit at Paia from CBRE.
Following the purchase, the business is going to be renamed Paia from CBRE, and the staff will definitely be integrated with CBRE’s presenting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) consulting and sustainability programs team. Johnson will be the lead specialist under the combined organization, whilst Forcellati will be the new administrator of customer sustainability method and remedies.
